4.48

第二、釋前出家後時所起惡作，除先追悔所生惡作等者，除則在俗時所起惡作，此惡作纏猶未能捨者，初出家時所起惡作猶未能捨，次後復生憂戀惡作者，念昔曾經戲笑等事所生起故，此又出家已後一種惡作差別。

Second, explaining the regret arisen at the time after going forth previously mentioned: 'excepting the regret born of earlier remorse, etc.'—'excepting' refers to the regret arisen in secular life; 'this entanglement of regret being not yet abandoned' refers to the regret arisen at the initial time of going forth being not yet abandoned; 'subsequently again giving rise to the regret of sorrow and longing' is because it is produced from recollecting past laughter, jesting, and such matters; this is another distinction of regret after having gone forth.
