言非究竟故，名差別涅槃者，由離煩惱隨分寂靜假說涅槃，非是究竟寂靜，故言差別涅槃。
Regarding 'because it is not ultimate, it is called differentiated nirvāṇa': because of separating from afflictions, it is a tranquility according to one's portion and is provisionally called nirvāṇa; it is not the ultimate tranquility, and is therefore called differentiated nirvāṇa.
