不相違中,決定故者,真因真喻定成宗故,異所成者,則真因喻無諸過失,體能成故異於所成。其相違者則似因似喻及似現比不能為量。不相違則真因等及真現比能,為量體聞思惠等緣至教智。
In non-contradiction, regarding "because it is conclusive": a true reason and a true example conclusively prove the thesis. "Different from the probandum": a true reason and example are free from all faults, and because their essence can prove, they are different from what is to be proven. That which is contradictory—namely, pseudo-reasons, pseudo-examples, and pseudo-direct perception and pseudo-inference—cannot serve as valid cognition. Non-contradiction—namely, true reasons and the like, as well as true direct perception and true inference—can serve as the essence of valid cognition, [along with] the wisdom of hearing, contemplation, and so forth that cognizes the supreme teaching.
