Regarding 'common characteristics of accomplishment of action': Jing says that although causes differ as wholesome, unwholesome, tainted, or untainted, the meaning of bringing about an effect is identical, and they are collectively called one type of common characteristic of accomplishment of action. Ji says: the three actions and six consciousnesses, although different in the substance of volition (*cetanā*), are identical in being wholesome and tainted, and all induce agreeable effects; this is called the common characteristic of what is performed, and other such types.
