5.331

如是半頌遮遣別義所分別我者，破離蘊我。諸法亦無用等者，破即蘊我，諸蘊我用亦都無故。

Regarding 'In this way, half a verse refutes the self conceptually constructed as distinct meanings': this refutes a self separate from the aggregates. Regarding 'phenomena also have no activity, etc.': this refutes a self identical with the aggregates, because the activity of a self in the aggregates is also completely non-existent.
