In the commentary to the single verse of the tenth section, Master Jing asks: 'How do the essential natures of the dharmas explained in the two "furthermores" of the prose commentary differ?' The answer states: 'Their essential nature is identical; they are identically desire, ill will, ignorance, and craving. The first turn points to the essential nature of the dharmas, while the second turn concerns the faults of persons.' In the summarized meaning there are also two: the former says, 'Herein, briefly showing the fetters of fools in all realms and all categories,' which summarizes the meaning of the first 'furthermore' in the preceding detailed explanation; from 'There is further a distinction' onwards summarizes the meaning of the second 'furthermore' in the preceding detailed explanation. 'These four dharmas should be known to obstruct those who are intelligent': the four dharmas to be known can be understood as matched to the hindrances in sequential order.
