涅槃第三云：護大乘者受持九部，彼自言唯無因緣譬喻論議，法華第一聲聞有九，唯無方廣自說記別。

The third fascicle of the Nirvāṇa Sūtra says: Those who protect the Great Vehicle receive and uphold nine divisions; it itself says that they merely lack nidāna, avadāna, and upadeśa. In the first fascicle of the Lotus Sūtra, the śrāvakas have nine [divisions], merely lacking vaipulya, udāna, and vyākaraṇa.
