受取如是影像相已者，牒前煗行本所分別，不復觀察簡擇等者，以奢摩他行寂靜其心，更不推求簡擇德失，但以九種行相令心安住，彼於爾時隨決定心別有相分成無分別影像所緣。

Regarding 'having grasped such an image-appearance': this reiterates the original conceptual differentiation in the practice of heat. Regarding 'no longer observing and discerning,' and so forth: by means of the practice of śamatha, one calms one's mind and no longer investigates or discerns merits and faults, but merely causes the mind to abide stably by means of the nine mental aspects. At that time, following the determined mind, a separate objective aspect is formed, becoming the cognitive object of the image without conceptual differentiation.
