若準正理說：骨鎖一觀通治四貪，以骨鎖中無四貪境故。今此論但云治妙觸貪。泰云：若小乘解死緣，初青後變作赤白，今大乘解皮等色赤，除去皮肉色形名變赤，治相貌貪。基復解云：貪白紅顯色以青瘀等對治，於形色起長短方圓等貪，以除去皮肉對治。

According to the Nyāyānusāra, the single contemplation of the skeleton remedies all four types of greed, because within the skeleton there are no objects of the four kinds of greed. Now this treatise only says that it remedies greed for pleasant touch. Tai says: according to the Hīnayāna explanation of the condition of death, it is first blue-green and then turns red and white; now the Mahāyāna explains that the color of skin and the like is red, and removing the color and shape of skin and flesh is called "turning red," which remedies greed for physical appearance. Ji further explains: greed for white and red visible color is remedied by lividness and the like; greed for shape and form—such as long, short, square, or round—is remedied by removing skin and flesh.
