The third: If one takes as an object form associated with pliancy in one's own internal meditative stage, it is called abiding in the contemplation of the internal body: a practitioner whose body is in the desire realm departs from heaviness due to attaining absorption; this body is precisely associated with pliancy, and taking this form as an object is called abiding in the internal body; it can also refer to a body born in the form realm, which is called associated with pliancy. Regarding 'if one takes as objects forms of another associated with both pliancy and heaviness, and so forth': taking another's form associated with pliancy as an object is called abiding internally; taking another's form associated with heaviness as an object is called abiding externally.
