泰云：於所緣境極離止舉，名增上緣捨時謂於止觀品創離掉舉，是修捨時，亦應說言：於止觀品所有沈沒心已解脫是修捨時。

Tai says: "Being utterly free from serenity and uplifting with respect to the focal object is called the sovereign condition of the time of equanimity. This means that when one has just become free from agitation in the category of serenity and insight, it is the time to cultivate equanimity. It should also be said: when one's mind has already been liberated from all sinking in the category of serenity and insight, it is the time to cultivate equanimity."
