"However, there are differences in the actions of their abiding" means that the karma created while abiding in the three grades has its distinctions. Now this textual formulation is again identical to the Vibhāṣā: cultivating three grades of karma in the first dhyāna and the four formless attainments results in experiencing fruits without differentiation; while in the latter three dhyānas, cultivating three grades of karma results in experiencing differentiated fruits.
