8.217

前中，云諸漏已盡者，以三漏盡故生亦已盡，即是我生已盡智，所作已辦無復所作者，所作已辦智也。證得自義者，以於聖道究竟修故證自果義利，即是梵行已立智。盡諸有結者，以有結盡故不受有，即不受後有智也。

In the former part: "all taints are exhausted"—because the three taints are exhausted, rebirth is also exhausted, which is the cognition that "my births have been exhausted"; "what was to be done has been done, with nothing further to be done" is the cognition of having done what was to be done; "realizing one's own goal"—because one has cultivated the noble path to culmination, one realizes one's own fruitional benefit, which is the cognition that "the holy life has been established"; "exhausting all fetters of existence"—because the fetters of existence are exhausted, one does not undergo existence, which is the cognition of "no further existence."
