"Exclusively guarding the four reliances" is the eleventh: guarding the four reliances, such as relying on the Dharma and not on the person; or the four reliances of always begging for food, wearing rag-robes, and so on; or guarding the four applications of mindfulness, which are called the four reliances. "The utmost detachment" is the twelfth: those in training have already abandoned the bad destinies and the like, but now the one beyond training surpasses them, which is termed the utmost detachment; or it means surpassing those in training by abandoning misconduct, killing, and so forth. "Solitary and truthful" is the thirteenth, explaining freedom from falsehood; or abandoning false speech is termed truthful. "Having cast away seeking" is the fourteenth: having reached the supreme stage, one has no further seeking; or because one does not take what is not given, it is called not seeking.
