8.373

受生不定中，所謂十信已前姓種菩薩遇緣造惡生於惡道，雖生惡道與餘二乘及無種姓生惡道有大差別，謂有三別：一、暫生速脫；二、不定猛利苦受；三、觸微苦增上厭離悲餘苦者。此中既言久處，將知位在十信已前姓種之位。

Regarding the indefiniteness of rebirth, this refers to a bodhisattva of the gotra of nature prior to the ten faiths who, encountering conditions, creates evil and is born in the evil destinies. Although born in the evil destinies, there is a great difference between them and the other two vehicles or those without gotra who are born in the evil destinies, namely three differences: first, being born there temporarily and swiftly escaping; second, experiencing severe suffering only irregularly; third, upon encountering slight suffering, generating intense revulsion and feeling compassion for others who suffer. Since it speaks here of 'dwelling for a long time', one should know the stage is situated in the stage of the gotra of nature prior to the ten faiths.
