8.461

今解，意有兼物之義欲雖翻障行通自利他，上下二文相似也。菩薩以利他為本故，唯利他及共自他利非障，若自利者是障。

Now it is explained: The intention contains the meaning of encompassing beings; although one desires to reverse obstacles, the practice extends to both self-benefit and benefiting others; the texts above and below are similar. Because the bodhisattva takes benefiting others as the root, sole benefit to others and mutual benefit to self and others are not obstacles; that which is solely self-benefit is an obstacle.
