Tai says: Regarding "Furthermore, bodhisattvas, because of cultivating such an ultimate resolve regarding emptiness, do not have deep dread regarding nirvāṇa, nor do they have much longing regarding nirvāṇa": if, as with the imagined nature, one imagines that there is a real nirvāṇa that annihilates body and mind, ordinary persons, possessing a self, would dread it. Now, bodhisattvas enter the selflessness of phenomena; the body, mind, and nirvāṇa that are imagined are originally non-existent. Furthermore, the nirvāṇa realized by bodhisattvas does not annihilate body and mind; having the two natures of the dependent and the real, they do not generate dread. Knowing that the suffering grasped by emotion in saṃsāra is originally empty of itself, since they are not utterly disgusted with saṃsāra, they also do not have much longing regarding nirvāṇa.
