言以何道理，應知諸法離言自性者，凡夫知法必藉言起，尋言得取義乃可得，論主上云：於一切法離言自性法既離言即無像貌，據何知有離言自性。

Regarding "By what principle should one know the ineffable intrinsic nature of phenomena?": when ordinary persons know phenomena, they must rely on speech to give rise to it; pursuing speech, they grasp the referent, and only then can it be apprehended. The treatise master said above: "Toward all phenomena, the ineffable intrinsic nature..." Since phenomena are free from speech, they lack outward appearances; based on what can one know that there is an ineffable intrinsic nature?
