答曰：前實作法有大明等，今以四攝事配信言大勢具足故，故唯布施無大明等，故不相違，大勢果中亦有出言皆為信用，但以所因別故言皆信用，隨因亦別。

Answer: Earlier, in actual practice there was great illumination and the like; now, matching it with the four means of gathering, the credible speech is called endowment with great power, and for this reason only giving is mentioned without great illumination and the like; thus they do not contradict each other. Among the fruits of great power, there is also the fact that all utterances are trusted and accepted; but because their causes differ, although all utterances are trusted and accepted, they also differ according to the cause.
