測云：能受能持者，是思慧。能正通達者，是修慧。即此修慧任運淳熟，故名俱生慧。此中用八勝身離三塗報，由有善根離惡業障，智慧能離煩惱。

Ce states: Being able to receive and uphold is wisdom arisen from reflection; being able to correctly penetrate is wisdom arisen from cultivation. It is this very wisdom arisen from cultivation that, functioning spontaneously and becoming thoroughly ripe, is therefore called innate wisdom. Here, one uses the eight superior bodies to be free from retributions in the three destinies; due to having wholesome roots, one is free from the obstruction of unwholesome karma; and wisdom is able to free one from afflictions.
