9.44

答曰：今此自利實善利他，以智為首，以悲為首。有義別故，義說自利，非一法中唯有自利，若前障者於一法中唯有自利無利他，故不同彼障也。

Answer: This self-benefit at present is truly skilled in benefiting others, with wisdom as foremost and compassion as foremost. Because there is a difference in meaning, it is conventionally explained as self-benefit; it is not that within a single dharma there is only self-benefit. As for the earlier obstacle, within a single dharma there was only self-benefit without benefiting others; therefore it is not the same as that obstacle.
