In terms of principle, examples among such sūtras are not solitary; hence the meaning of reality is explained after the preceding chapter. However, the Viniścayasaṃgrahaṇī says: 'Furthermore, if one wishes to fully know the meaning of reality, one should first fully know that there are briefly five matters.' It also says: 'If one wishes to fully know the meaning of reality, one should further cultivate contemplation of the three own-beings.' Thus, the five dharmas and three natures should be examined here. In the text it first says: 'First, relying on the nature of how things are (yāvadbhāvikatā); second, relying on the nature of all that exists (yathāvadbhāvikatā).' The passages are diverse, as already explained above.
