Within the stage associated with the five groups of consciousness, it first lists the names of the seventeen stages in question-and-answer format, and later explains them separately. Although the initial text summarizes and lists the seventeen stages, because it is brief, it is explained under the rubric of the stage of the five consciousnesses. Herein there are five parts: 1. question, 2. answer, 3. investigation, 4. manifestation, 5. conclusion. Within manifestation there are two: verses and prose.
