Furthermore, under '[observing whether] there are hindrances internally', in explaining the characteristics of dharmas, first one fully understands the presence or absence of the countered hindrances and fetters; next, one understands the counteractive seven limbs of awakening, because they are all objects of the mindfulness of dharmas. Only the joy limb of awakening is an object of the mindfulness of feelings and not an object of the mindfulness of dharmas; it is included here by association.
