Jing says: Regarding these four realities, if one specifies their intrinsic nature, the former two realities take worldly mind and objects as their own substance; the latter two realities take supramundane principle and wisdom as their substance. Therefore, chapter seventy-three of the Viniścayasaṃgrahaṇī below states: 'The former two realities take appearances, names, and conceptual discrimination among the five dharmas as their substance; the latter two realities take right wisdom and suchness as their substance.' Furthermore, among these four kinds, the former two are named from their objective meaning, while the latter two are named after the designation of the wisdom capable of realizing them.
