Regarding the five destinies and four modes of birth, the Cheng weishi lun states that all have vipāka as their essence, or include the five aggregates, being solely destinies of vipāka-indeterminate nature. Speaking of "seeds and fruits" refers to the fruit of vipāka and nominal seeds. Including those karmas means they accord with the destinies, but their essence is not the destiny itself. If it were not so, they would arise in mutual confusion. This is detailed as in that treatise.
