夢有十緣。如由搖扇，如世戲樂，以扇搖之，即便睡夢。《唯識》第七有四說：一云癡為體；二云癡、無癡為體；三云思、想為體；四云別有體。或為七緣，第七緣中有四，如文可知。

Dreaming has ten conditions. For instance, just as by waving a fan—like worldly entertainment where one waves a fan—one immediately falls asleep and dreams. The seventh fascicle of the Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi presents four accounts: the first says delusion is its essence; the second says delusion and non-delusion are its essence; the third says intention (cetanā) and ideation (saṃjñā) are its essence; the fourth says it has a distinct essence. Alternatively, it is presented as seven conditions, with four within the seventh condition, as can be known from the text.
