災分齊中，欲界、初禪同有尋伺，君臣諂誑，內火所逼，同火災。二禪及下，喜水動涌，故同水災。三禪已下，內有樂受，入出息風所搖鼓故，同有風災。第四禪中，無別內災之所損惱，故無外災；宮宇隨身，有無義顯，不假緣壞。

Regarding the limits of the disasters: the desire realm and the first dhyāna both have vitarka and vicāra, deceit and fraud between rulers and ministers, and oppression by internal fire, hence they share the disaster of fire. The second dhyāna and below have the surging of the water of joy, hence they share the disaster of water. The third dhyāna and below internally possess the feeling of pleasure, agitated and fanned by the wind of inhalation and exhalation, hence they share the disaster of wind. In the fourth dhyāna, there is no torment by distinct internal disasters, hence there is no external disaster; palaces and dwellings appear and disappear along with the body, their existence and non-existence being evident, without needing conditions to destroy them.
