前明〈定品〉，心專一境，專一境故，慧得照明，故次辨慧。此中廣明，故曰〈慧品〉。

Previously, the Chapter on Concentration was explained, wherein the mind is focused on a single object; because it is focused on a single object, prajñā is able to illuminate, and therefore prajñā is distinguished next. Herein it is explained in detail, hence it is called the "Chapter on Prajñā."
