Regarding the treatise saying, 'Placing the refined gold into kāsīsa': this refers to green vitriol; because there are subtle defilements, it is placed in green vitriol to remove them. This second bhūmi has nine sections: namely, because intentions are pure, because natural moral discipline is complete, and so forth; following the meaning of the various texts below, they match what was concluded above. As with the second bhūmi, for the subsequent bhūmis, according to the length of the concluding texts, the text of that bhūmi is divided into a certain number of sections, which should be understood by analogy with the meaning. Just as the aforementioned purity of the ten intentions is inferior and middling and not yet complete in the first bhūmi, but in this bhūmi is superior and complete; so all the lower bhūmis should be understood in this way. The reason this is known is that the treatise's text states that the second bhūmi becomes superior and extremely complete, and in the first bhūmi there are these words on the purity of intention.
