12.83

論云「能於諸法異門」，謂法辨；「義起」，義辨；「釋詞」，詞辨；「差別」，辨辨：即四辨才也。第十地相先照世界等，廣如《華嚴》、《十地經》辨。

The treatise says: "Able in the different aspects of phenomena" refers to eloquence regarding phenomena (dharma-pratisamvid); "arising of meaning" is eloquence regarding meaning (artha-pratisamvid); "explanation of terms" is eloquence regarding expression (nirukti-pratisamvid); "distinctions" is eloquence regarding confidence (pratibhāna-pratisamvid): these are the four kinds of eloquence (catasraḥ pratisamvidaḥ). The characteristics of the tenth bhūmi first illuminating worlds and so forth are broadly explained as in the Avataṃsaka and the Daśabhūmika-sūtra.
