13.21

論云「復次，嗢拕南」，是第三答。自下有二：初、以四義建立第八廣分別義；二、建立第八還滅之義。於中，初舉頌，次乃長行。長行中，初、開二門；二、次第解釋。解釋中，先解所緣。

The treatise says, "Furthermore, the uddāna [states]..." This is the third answer. Below, there are two parts: first, establishing the broad differentiation of the eighth consciousness through four meanings; second, establishing the meaning of the cessation and return of the eighth consciousness. In this, it first sets forth the verses, and next the prose commentary. In the prose commentary: first, opening two portals; second, explaining them in sequence. In the explanation, it first explains the cognitive object (ālambana).
