14.23

論云「及彼定相應識等境色，是實物有」，釋通疑難也。此中，法處唯立三種，故律儀色皆假，以依思等而建立故。

The treatise says: "And the objective matter of consciousness, etc., concurrent with that samādhi exists as a real substance," which resolves and clears away doubts and objections. Here, the sphere of phenomena posits only three kinds; therefore, matter of moral restraint is entirely nominal, because it is established on the basis of volition, and so forth.
