15.126

論云「爾時聖智雖緣於苦，然於苦事不起分別」等者，此通明三乘見道前方便。大乘前方便，或作安立諦觀，或作非安立諦觀，不同小乘。如前第五十五已說。

The treatise says: "At that time, although noble knowledge takes suffering as its cognitive object, it does not give rise to discrimination regarding the concrete matters of suffering..." and so forth. This generally explains the preparatory stage prior to the path of seeing in the three vehicles. In the preparatory stage of the Mahāyāna, one performs contemplation on the posited truths or contemplation on the non-posited truths, unlike the Hīnayāna. This has already been explained above in the fifty-fifth [fascicle].
