15.72

不放逸中，「修習諸善法，防護不善心」等者，謂修善法亦有因有果相，而防護不善亦爾，故言俱為彼相，俱為因果相也。

In diligence, regarding "cultivating all wholesome dharmas and guarding against unwholesome thoughts," etc., this means that cultivating wholesome dharmas also has the characteristics of cause and fruit, and guarding against unwholesome [dharmas] is likewise; therefore it is said that both serve as their characteristics, and both serve as characteristics of cause and fruit.
