15.94

遣六邪執中云「依止邪執」，謂計依止為止，說蘊破也。因者，界破可知。　「三、能持依止我邪執」者，謂外道色能持依止者是，我今破是十二處能持識生長門故。餘可解。

In dispelling the six erroneous grasps, it says: 'Erroneous grasp of a support' refers to conceiving the support as an abiding place; this is refuted by explaining the aggregates. 'Cause' is refuted by the elements (dhātu), as is understood. 'Third, the erroneous grasp of a self that can sustain the support': this refers to the non-Buddhists' view that form can sustain the support; now, this is refuted because the twelve āyatanas are the gateways for sustaining the arising and growth of consciousness. The rest can be understood.
