意地之中，大文分二：上以五門辨意地體、下以十門釋意地義。文分為三：初牒前五門三處所攝，標起論端；次「今當先說色聚諸法」下，別釋十門；後總以頌結。

Within the bhūmi of mental activity (manobhūmi), the main text is divided into two parts: above, the essence of the bhūmi of mental activity was distinguished through five gates; below, the meaning of the bhūmi of mental activity is explained through ten gates. The text is divided into three: first, it recites the previous five gates as subsumed under the three loci, marking the beginning of the treatise; next, from "Now we shall first explain the dharmas of material clusters" onward, it explains the ten gates individually; finally, it concludes comprehensively with verses.
