四種障中，「覆弊障」者，屋宇等。　「隱沒障」者，謂神通、藥草等，隱令不見。　「映奪障」者，謂勝力映奪，即日光等影眾星火光等。　「幻惑障」者，謂由鬼魅等及呪術等諸幻惑障。

Among the four kinds of obstacles, "obstacle of coverage" refers to houses, buildings, and so forth. "Obstacle of concealment" refers to supernormal powers, medicinal herbs, and so forth, concealing something so it cannot be seen. "Obstacle of overpowering" refers to being overpowered by superior force, namely sunlight and the like overshadowing the light of stars, fire, and so forth. "Obstacle of illusion" refers to various illusory obstacles caused by ghosts, spirits, incantations, and so forth.
