In the refutation, as for "Not dwelling in the world, yet recollecting the edge of the world, is irrational": this means that if from prior destruction there is no longer any world, and one thereupon says it is finite, then you non-Buddhists would not be dwelling in the world, not knowing that at present there is a world, and because you dwell in the world, you dwell and recollect the world; hence it is irrational.
