4.44

次第欲十思，九斷純黑雜，
後一三俱離，上八唯自盡。
若超證第三，唯一三皆斷。
從初取無學，前八菩薩見，
唯盡純黑雜，金剛皆斷三。
此說無間道，對治能斷業。
若加行伏滅，除見餘皆有，
唯加行無間，能伏盡能斷。
前勝進解脫，無勝用故除，
此說離縛斷，非不生等義。

In succession, ten volitions of desire: / nine sever purely black and mixed; / the last one detaches from all three; / the upper eight exhaust only their own. / If transcending to realize the third, / only one severs all three. / Going from the first to take the non-learner, / the first eight and the Bodhisattva's seeing / exhaust only purely black and mixed; / the vajra severs all three. / This speaks of the uninterrupted path, / the antidote able to sever karma. / If preparatory suppression and eradication, / all exist except in seeing; / only the preparatory and uninterrupted / can suppress, exhaust, and sever. / Prior, advanced, and liberated / are excluded for lack of superior function; / this speaks of severing by detachment from bondage, / not the sense of non-arising, etc.
