The six types of unknowing have two parts: first, revealing the mutual subsumption of the six types of unknowing with the seven; second, distinguishing the six according to their antidotes and intrinsic natures. Regarding "explaining the first three based on the distinctions of the antidotes of hearing, reflection, and cultivation": because of hearing one knows dharmas, and its antidote's object is called "unknowing"; because of reflection one investigates, and its antidote's object is called "unseeing"; relying on cultivation one clearly realizes, and its antidote's object is called "non-direct-realization": hence it says that based on the distinctions of the antidotes, these three kinds are spoken of.
