此上總釋觀察斷義。　「觀察有學未離欲」下，別釋三等至。　「俱住二世」者，現在、未來識俱有縛故。　「唯住他世」者，唯未來世識有縛故。　「俱無所住」者，二世無縛故。

The above comprehensively explains the meaning of the observation of abandonment. From "Observing the learner who has not yet transcended desire" downward, it separately explains the three samāpattis. "Abiding in both of the two lives" means that the consciousness of both the present and future is bound. "Abiding only in the other life" means that only the consciousness of the future life is bound. "Abiding in neither" means that both lives are free of bondage.
