Eighth, as for the repeating of the three samādhis: although not explicitly mentioned in the text, logically they are also admitted to exist. However, they are not generated solely by the non-learners (aśaikṣa) who are liberated at all times, because ordinary beings and learners (śaikṣa) can also generate them; nor are they only tainted, because they also extend to the untainted. Fascicle four of the Prakaraṇāryavācā states that the four aspects of the truth of the path extend to the three doors of liberation, meaning that the practices of the three samādhis taking [the preceding ones] as objects again are untainted, as should be understood in accordance with reason. Now, this root text itself lists their three distinct characteristics, and resolves the differences in difficulties and objections earlier and later; combined with what precedes, they are analyzed across ten headings.
