三種無明中皆言前際者，發業無明，名為前際；而觸、受俱能起愛、取，潤生無明，名為後際。

In the three kinds of ignorance, each mentions the "prior limit": ignorance that activates karma is called the prior limit; whereas contact and sensation both give rise to craving and grasping, and ignorance that moistens rebirth is called the "posterior limit."
