8.64

論「宣說相應、助伴、隨順、清高」等者，相應，謂與理相應，即緣如是智也；助伴，同時心、心所法也；隨順，即有漏加行智，隨順正智故；清高，簡濁亂語也。　有用者，謂得涅槃；相稱，不相違語也，應順名句等所有語言。

Regarding the treatise's "explaining what is congruent, concomitant, compliant, elevated," and so forth: "congruent" means congruent with principle, which is wisdom that takes suchness as object; "concomitant" means minds and mental factors occurring at the same time; "compliant" means preparatory wisdom with outflows, because it complies with correct wisdom; "elevated" eliminates turbid and disorderly speech. "Having utility" means attaining nirvāṇa; "appropriate" means speech that is not contradictory, which accords with all language such as names and phrases.
