論曰「又彼苾芻於時時間全心寂靜，於時時衣增上慧」等者，此中，前解定境與外境相似，此文以下，後似前，故言於時時間。

Regarding the treatise: "Furthermore, that monk at times brings his whole mind to tranquility, and at times cultivates higher wisdom," and so forth: here, earlier it explained that the object in samādhi resembles the external object; from this text downward, what follows resembles what preceded, hence it says "from time to time."
