Where the treatise explains the perfection of human gender, saying, "Due to two causes and conditions, one bestows human gender upon others": this means that when other women are pleased with their own form, or when men are about to undergo gender transformation and lose their male faculty, the bodhisattva admonishes and protects them, causing them not to undergo gender transformation. Furthermore, he explains the Dharma to them, causing those women and men, through the bodhisattva's encouragement, not to take pleasure in female bodies and to obtain male bodies in the future, while those undergoing gender transformation, through the bodhisattva's encouragement, are able not to undergo gender transformation. This is called bestowing human gender upon others.
