Where the treatise answers that the seeds exist within a single continuum, the text stating: "If dharmas were to occur simultaneously with distinct characteristics, one would see their separate and manifold continuums, and manifold transmigrations. Such seeds do not possess characteristics distinct from the six āyatanas," and so forth: The meaning here is that it first explains by the reverse, and then gives the correct explanation. That is, from "If dharmas..." down to "manifold transmigrations" is the reverse explanation. The meaning here is: if seeds and the basis of the six āyatanas had distinct characteristics, they could have manifold continuums and manifold transmigrations, like the ten physical āyatanas and the eight vijñāna āyatanas. Since such seeds do not have characteristics distinct from the six āyatanas, one knows they exist within a single continuum, as explained in the *Mahāyānasaṃgraha*. Here, because it is not like the bodhisattva, it does not say "the excellence of the six āyatanas," but merely says "the six āyatanas."
