從此頌曰，即是第二依義正答。然此一行半頌之內依長行釋。上之三句答難破執，略標論宗。下之三句略辨識相，彰能變體。三種科文釋一頌半，皆同無別（餘如《樞要》）。

From here on, 'The verse says' is the second part, answering directly according to the meaning. Within this one and a half verses, it is explained according to the prose. The upper three lines answer the objection, refute attachments, and briefly indicate the doctrine of the treatise. The lower three lines briefly distinguish the marks of consciousness and reveal the substance of consciousness as transformation. The three ways of dividing the text in explaining this verse and a half are all identical without difference (the rest is as in the Shiyao).
