Language
Classical Chinese

1.153

The Commentary states: If there were no self-verification, the two would definitely not arise, just as when there is no head, horns definitely do not exist, and when there is no mirror, the reflection of a face does not arise. Because both manifest their aspects upon consciousness, the two divisions are said to arise depending on the substance of consciousness. This comprehensively demonstrates the dependent nature; the above demonstrates that which is transformed by consciousness.
